Dr. Sam Saxena is the Founder of MyGreenCar and MyFleetBuy, which are driving the uptake of clean mobility by consumers and fleets.
MyGreenCar is the most personalized car shopping and comparison experience for car buyers, ever. It uses car buyers’ own driving data and preferences to suggest cars and take the uncertainty out of choosing greener cars, particularly EVs. MyFleetBuy is fleet greening and electrification as a service. It’s a workflow management and analytics tool that interfaces with a fleet’s existing telematics system to de-risk the transition to electrified fleets.
Sam has a long history in clean transportation. He founded a team that built a solar powered car, received Lawrence Berkeley Lab’s prestigious Director’s Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer, was a finalist for the Top 20 Under 20 in Canada, was a recipient and finalist for two prestigious R&D100 Awards, and was recognized in the Canadian House of Commons for his leadership excellence. Both MyGreenCar and MyFleetBuy were developed under Sam’s leadership at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he leads a research program on vehicle powertrains, electrification, and grid integration. Having grown up in the automotive industry, in a family that drives pickup trucks, and now working on EVs - Sam understands the diverse needs of car buyers and fleets.
